South African Ambassador presents his Letters of Credence in the Grand Duchy Luxembourg

His Excellency, Ambassador Mxolisi Nkosi will be presenting his Letters of Credence to His Royal Highness, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg on Wednesday 13 June 2012. This event will be preceded by a meeting between Ambassador Nkosi and the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 12 June, to discuss the logistical practicalities of the ceremony.

South Africa and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg share an active economic relationship, with some of South Africa’s largest companies having subsidiaries or European Head Quarters registered in Luxembourg. This presentation of Credentials provides South Africa with the opportunity to further strengthen and expand bilateral relations working towards meaningful interaction.

While in Luxembourg, Ambassador will be meeting with the ‘Friends of South Africa’ group to explore more possibilities for South Africa and Luxembourg to capitalize on people-to- people relations. Furthermore, South Africa is looking forward to re-introducing the tourism sector characterized by ever changing landscapes with a diverse and vibrant culture, making it the ideal tourist destination of choice.
